Here is a short video that explains how to ethically and properly use facebook tags. This prevents spam and also makes us seem less desperate and unprofessional on facebook. Enjoy and let’s all support ethical and conscious use of technology! Magical days, Julie

As you enter into the holiday season, ask yourself if you have trouble feeling the spirit of everyone around you (even your family members who drive you crazy!). Check out the video for some light philosophy and perhaps you can tune in to some deeper spirit from here on :-) Magical days, Julie

In honor of continued learning...Posted by Julie Hoffenberg on Tuesday, June 7, 2011

Today I learned something new...
That the Mayans also had a word similar to the ones I was already familiar with such as "namaste". How beautiful that the whole world shares a similar sentiment of love and appreciation. The inflections and sounds we place on the expression changes, but the meaning is the same. I found this on a Mayan website I visited briefly: I found this on a website I visited recently about the Mayans... thought it was a beautiful senitment! *In Lak’ech Ala K’in - The Living Code of the Heart - is an ancient Mayan greeting that when said with one’s hands cupped over one’s heart is an honoring of each other. In modern day interpretation it means I am another yourself, I am another you. In the traditional Mayan interpretation it means, I am you and you are me. It is a statement of unity and oneness. In Lak’ech Ala K’in mirrors the same sentiment of other beautiful and heart-felt greetings such as Namasté for East India, Wiracocha for the Inca, and Mitakuye Oyasin for the Lakota or Lakotah of North America. lovely lovely...
